I love the matching looks on their faces!
We had a very monumental event occur on Sunday, September 8th. Our oldest son became a shaving…dare I say it…man?! Yikes! It was a strange moment for me…watching him standing in the bathroom with his Dad scraping a razor across his face. It was nothing like when he was little and pretended to shave with his Dad.
It was pretty funny on the way home from church that morning, Nathan said to me, “I had no idea how much hair was on my face.” When he rinsed his razor out the first time it was caked with hair. I’d been telling him for a month or more that his facial hair was getting out of control. He didn’t believe me because he couldn’t see his face from the same angle as I could.
Last week we had major rain storms. There were flash flood warnings day after day. Being on the down side of a hill definitely has its advantages. We watched the waters rush past the house, but sustained no damage ourselves. One night Nathan, Zeke, Lydia and I took a walk around the neighborhood. This is our park…and those are not our kids.
The rain seems to have taken a break this week. We’re grateful for the rain, but we’re also grateful that it’s stopped…we missed our very first week of co-op because of it. Abbie was totally bummed out.
All righty…I’m outta here.
