Several weeks ago I received a package in the mail from Karen Otterbacher. It was a copy of the booklet she and her sister, Jane, made as a tribute to their sister, Margaret, who passed away last year. It’s a beautiful book and I was privileged to have a very small part in making it happen (Karen asked for my help in proofreading.) So I was really surprised when a few days later I received another package from her. I couldn’t imagine what it could be. When I finally sat down and opened it, it was an adorable set of stamps with Spanish sentiments. I was finally able to carve out some time to put them to use and naturally the first card went to her.
Don’t you love that jar? And the lid is all paper-pieced. Love that!!!
Supplies: CTMH – Topstitch paper pack; Dilo en Espanol – Rebosando Amor stamp set; Michael’s ribbon; MFT – medium scallop die; Nestabilities – ovals dies; Rose Art colored pencils; Gamsol
Here’s the sketch I used. I’d tried to create something along these lines a week or so before, but it just didn’t work for me. Glad this one turned out better.
