January 28th, 2013How ’bout some cards?
I decided to take Saturday off and make some cards. It’s been too long.
First I finished up the Viva la Verve sketches for the month of January.
~~Week One~~
I actually made this one a couple weeks ago. I was in a Valentine-y mood, I guess.
But it could also be an anniversary card.

Supplies: CTMH cardstock; Making Memories – pink hearts paper; Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps – Key to Cocoa’s Heart digi; Nestabilities; Hobby Lobby ribbon; glitter glue; Rose Art colored pencils; Gamsol
~~Week Two~~
This owl digi has become one of my favorites. She’s just so cute!

Supplies: My Mind’s Eye papers; Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps – Olivia Owl digi; Nestabilities; Hobby Lobby crochet lace; random button; embroidery floss; Rose Art colored pencils; Gamsol
~~Week Three~~
This chicken image has been sitting on my desk for a couple of weeks. This seemed like the perfect sketch to finally use it for. I’d seen a couple cards at Splitcoaststampers using this kind of color combination with a chicken so that’s where the inspiration came from.

Supplies: CTMH cardstock, button; Hobby Lobby kraft cardstock; Designed2Delight – Cluck digi; Cuttlebug – Square Lattice embossing folder; MFT Die-namics – Plentiful Petals; Michael’s ribbon; embroidery floss; Rose Art colored pencils; Gamsol
~~Week Four~~
Another valentine-y card turned anniversary simply because our anniversary is next week. We’ll see if I give it to Jon or not…seems a little girly to me. But maybe he won’t mind. It’s kind of hard to see, but the base for this card is white.

Supplies: CTMH – cardstock, Card Word Puzzle stamp set; Making Memories – pink heart paper; Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps – Vintage Postcard stamp set (hearts); Nestabilities; Hobby Lobby ribbon; embroidery floss
~~Week Five~~
This is what’s called a “Clean and Simple” card in the realm of stamping. It’s not my usual style, but I’m very pleased with the way it turned out. This one seems like a better choice for our anniversary.

Supplies: CTMH – cardstock, Key to my Heart stamp set; MFT – Clearly Sentimental about Audrey Hepburn stamp set
Thanks for taking a look at my cards.
